Mayors are Guild leaders.
Your job is to build a guild and run it effectively. You are in charge of your township, and all it's inhabitants. This is a political position. You must make sure that all home owners in your district are listed on the townstone at all times and that they have runes in the town books. IF you need help with this please elect someone to assist you. Remember most Mayors have a full staff to assist them in running their towns. Please look up information online if you want help running your town.... this is an excellent roleplay opportunity for you and a wonderful addition for those living in your town.
Points to remember:
1.) IF you are not the person on your stone that is on the most... you may be demoted. TO maintain this position you MUST PLAY on N&L.
2.) Your fellow players can vote you down from your position at any time.
3.) If, I feel you are not upholding your position you may be removed from your position.
4.) If a mayor is removed from the stone (by me due to inactivity) then the stone chooses the new mayor. I do not.
5.) The stone chooses the mayor to replace the removed mayor... by number of votes. So be sure and vote for whom you want mayor just in case your current mayor steps down.
6.) Mayors may decide what rules are set for their townships and once they are approved by me... and POSTED CLEARLY ON THE FORUMS. Become server rules.
7.) Part of deciding the rules for a town includes having that town have guards turned on or off. (see me if you have questions)
8.) Any Mayor who breaks a server rule may be removed from his or her position.
9.) Once a mayor has been removed from because of breaking rules they will NEVER have a chance to be staff again.
In addition to their guild responsibilities a mayor is our first leg of upholding the server rules and Regulating Server status. As well as caring for new players.
NOTE: Check back to this post regularly as it may change to make intentions more clear.

- To obtain this position, be the first on a town stone.
- To maintain this position, be on the server more than anyone else and keep your township running smoothly and happily.
- To obtain a councelor robe you must be a mayor, and be on a LOT, and.... most importantly..... prove to me you are able to see the players needs first... above your personal needs. *** Remember if a robe is taken from you for bad behavior, you will prolly never get one again.

- Mayors should meet and greet new players to the server and get to know them and see if they would like a tour. Please have tour books made up ahead of time (see Hestia for help) so that you can show your world off and help them see why N&L would make a new home for them.
- Remember, first impressions are the most important and this is your chance to win people to your township. Later towns will obtain server *fundage/privilage based on the size of their townships*
- Since Vesper and it's surrounding lands are our new players first impression... a mayor must protect it as if their jobs depend on it! Please read up on all posts about Vesper. NOTE: ANY GATE/ TELEPORTER ETC>>> THAT IS LINKED TO VESPER LEADS TO AN AREA PROTECTED UNDER VESPER RULES.
- As such they will hold Jail keys and they may appoint a police force among the persons who are on their stones to assist in upholding server rules as well.
