Since this is my column, it seems to me that I can use it for a bit of editorializing...
When I found out that there have been people who have actually THREATENED Atheena, her family and her home because they didn't like the way it was run I was HOPPING MAD
Those of us who have gotten to know Atheena, not as some pixelated image on a computer screen but as the real life flesh and blood person, know her to be a kind, caring person. More than once, she was there for me when know one else was, to pull me out of the emotional gutter (Yes, nun's need a shoulder to cry on too)
Those of us who have been here a while know that we are guests in Atheena's home. Not some cold, impersonal EA office...in her home...she foots the bill...and more importantly, she spends something valuable than any money on this shard...time away from her family...
Imagine yourself, already in a good deal of physical pain yourself, hunched over a computer screen all day long, modifiy script just to keep people happy, all the while someone uses an instant message system to threaten their benefactor...
Well my friends, Divine Protection works both ways...I say it is time to offer a bit of protection back to our benefactor, a bit of insulation if you will...and it is up to those of us who have taken up residence here (as opposed to just passing through) to provide it...with that in mind I offer you this poll...
