Darkness falls across my mind, ashes of memories of another time. Forgotten feelings wasting away, my soul consumed by hatred, distain. Fires burn deep and bright, give off the most unnatural light. Anger, mistrust destroy what’s left as my eyes cast downward into the black depths. I slowly become a walking shell, cold and jaded cast into my hell. There is no hope, no love, no dreams just this darkness that consumes my being. Unto life I turn a blind eye despite the warnings of road I travel by. And to the end I move toward in hopes that escape will be my reward. Until that time I stay in my hell as the darkness wins the battle it wields.
