Love was once something I only dreamed of, something I only heard of. But in a single look, a single glance, love was something I knew.
Love, with all it’s joy, with all it’s splendor. Love, with all it’s happiness, with all it’s sunshine. Love, with everything I was, everything you were, everything we became. Love was something we knew.
But then it was gone, that love, that splendor. Like a dream ended to soon before the dawn. And left behind in the wake of that splendor, the shadows, the darkness, the gloom. For you have now gone away and once more love has become something I only dream of, something I only heard of, something I no longer knew.
Now that it’s gone the question remains, will love return or will it become a forgotten memory in the distant past that love was once something I knew
