I don't know why...perhaps long ago in what seems like another life (and in many ways it was) I was a theater major, before business and the nun business...
It is from a play called "The Kings Ring" which I have never read. I came upon it in a book, long ago...
Once in Persia reign a king, Who upon his signet ring, graved a maxim true and wise, which if held before his eyes, gave him counsel at a glance, fit for every change and chance. Solemn words and these are they, "Even this shall pass away."
Sister Frances called me just now and shared an adage she saw on the front of a church...
"If God is your co-pilot, switch seats"
