I heard tell once that this was a "roleplaying" shard. Now I will admit to not having done alot of this on this particular shard, but it does seem like alot of fun. I also heard tell once of guild wars that never seemed to materialize....so?...so perhaps I have seen "Pirates of the Carribean" one to many times....perhaps I think the name "Helia Hawke" makes a good pirate name....(I didn't make it up....I just shortened the last name and added a final "e"....what happened to all the role playing ideas? Is everyone too busy out just killing the big bad mobs?

Some players do in fact RP all the time. The problem is that not alot of people do stay IC all the time, they stray from the RP and bring in RL. I while back I had written up a short on how to RP. Just a general guideline. It would be nice to have some RPers running around doing just that. It would make running quests and events much more interesting that's for sure.

Just a general guideline. It would be nice to have some RPers running around doing just that. It would make running quests and events much more interesting that's for sure. As a matter of fact, I belong to "E|F" on OSI...a roleplaying group of elves...a true player city...the shard being new we were able to establish a small village of homes all together outside scare brae. While the monthly meetings are out of character, the rest of it IS in character. As an alliance, and for role playing purposes, we are allied with a group called the "Iron Claw Clan"...yes...a group of elves allied with a group of orcs...but it makes for some great role playing...(where else would you have to be worried about your horse being EATEN rather than stolen. In fact we actually had to pass a town law against horse eating last night.). The point is, I would like to do a bit of that here. I am VERY interested in doing a bit of role playing...especially with my discovery of "Change Your World" on the old N and L shard...which I am happy to say IS STILL THERE. What fun it was to spend some time as a unicorn, and as a fairy...Think of what fun it could be if one of the choices where "orc"...if one could get hold of a mask or oricish kin! Why with the orc city (which I hope is still there. I will have to check it out) One could move right in. If Fern, who lives across the road from me, in Zento will every say "howdy" think of it...we could have our own little "Lord of the Rings"....or something like it, going...what fun!

There is a person by the name of Maria Pryor. She's an RPer. She plays on POM. I don't see her log in very often but she too has mentioned she'd like to start an RP city or something to that effect. She was in a guild called S*E on Great Lakes, they owned a large area with many homes. The guild was huge for a while, anyway back to the point, You should speak with her about maybe forming a guild

This is just an idea, and if I can get some feedback on this it would mabey work good for roleplaying. I posted the story of Andromeda, and the she now excits on our shard, we can take the story, make a guild, and find Andromeda's husband Persues which is missing, and also a quest on finding her husband, would be fun, and haveing a second wedding cermony for them, and any ideas or sugestions to make this fun for us. She is a fisherwoman, and going to do sos's and needs her husband to help her bring up the treasures of the sea. I am not too good with this, but its a start hehe Thanks , Lady Sahara Hy'rona

That's an excillent idea for you to run a player ran quest. That's Andromeda's personal story and agenda though. You'd have to discuss it with your own guild members. That's more of a quest/storyline idea which is great. Keep RPing that char. I'm going to find that post I made a while back on RP guidelines for those of you who are new to RP. Keep up the good work. Keep in mind folks no one is forcing you to RP. If you do, great, it'll add more depth and interest to the shard now that everyone is GMing. Things won't get stale if we all RP our characters.

If you do, great, it'll add more depth and interest to the shard now that everyone is GMing. Things won't get stale if we all RP our characters. The problem I had on OSI at one point was after the big house is built....after the rares are accumulated...after the characters are GM'd it gets a bit boring if all you are doing is trying to go out and get better at doing in the bad guys...a RP Guild would really add some life to the new lands....I go like the idea of starting an RP Guild. That would certainly send a little alert to other players that "this person does just RP"... It would avoid situations like the first day I walked on to the streets of Vesper and found someone standing under the eves of a building....He looked at me and said, "aren't you going to come in out of the rain. You are getting all wet?" It was indeed "raining" in vesper at the moment...but my first thought was that this person must be mad. If I had known a bit more about RP then I would have had a clue.
